Bank of Ceylon has raised US$ 500 million with investors from US, Asia and Europe showing equal interest, a source familiar with the issue said.
The Bank has priced the bond at par to yield 6.875%, a much lower yield than expected.
Bond issue has been oversubscribed 7.7 times with bids received running up to US$ 3.86 billion coming from 215 accounts.
“We distributed the bond to investors from all regions on equal basis”, added a source who was actively involved in the bond issue. source-http://www.news360.lk
