Sri Lanka petroleum distribution will not be handed over to IOC

Apr 27 (CP) Colombo- The Sri Lankan Ministry of Petroleum today asserted that it has not decided to handover petroleum distribution to the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) will continue to carry out petroleum distribution in the island. The Ministry has stressed that petroleum will not be fully privatized under the policies of the government as it is an essential commodity
