Bail applications handed over to Sarath Fonseka -full fledged pardon to ensure all civil liberties

Senior Attorney at Law & Human Rights Commissioner Dr.Prathibha Mahanamahewa states that if the leader of the Democratic national alliance Sarath Fonseka is afforded a full-fledged presidential pardon, it would enable him to exercise his civil liberties to their fullest.

These were the views expressed by Dr. Prathiba Mahanamahewa in this regard.



Meanwhile the bail applications issued to Sarath Fonseka were handed over to him at the premises of the Nawaloka Hospital in Colombo.

According to the Registrar of the High Court Fonseka's signatures had been obtained in this regard.

Court granted conditional bail to Sarath Fonseka today upon taking up the case in which he was accused of harbouring a group of army deserters and inciting the breech of their state allegiance during the previously held presidential election.        source-http://hirunews.lk
